Empowering Women in Tech

This event promises a unique opportunity to delve into the inspiring journeys of women - from Nokia, Microsoft, Nursebuddy, Visual Components & Valmet - who have successfully navigated the path from studying tech to making significant contributions in the industry.

Participating companies from different tech industries (Nokia, Valmet, Silo AI & Solita) will share info about their company and shed light on the initiatives they have undertaken to support and elevate women in their workforce. Gain firsthand knowledge of the progressive strategies employed by these companies to foster an inclusive and diverse tech community.

Participants can choose to join online, via Teams (link will be provided to the registrants who chose online option) or face to face at Finlayson, Tampere.

As a participant, you will have the chance to find out about free tech courses, which allows you to dip your toes into the possibilities before committing to a degree program. Both Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Science will be presenting the different tech degree programs available, and guide you on how you can find out more info about the degree programs and application period. Dimecc and University of Oulu will be introducing their Reboot Skills which consists of free tech courses for those interested in exploring the tech field.

For those joining us at Finlayson, the experience goes beyond the presentations. After the insightful sessions, seize the opportunity to connect and converse with our fireside speakers and representatives from participating companies.
