Karelia University of Applied Sciences Student Union POKA searching for a tutor and lobbying Secretary for a fixed term contract (maternity leave substitute). Fixed-term employment lasts for 01/08/2014 – 30/06/2015. Fixed-term employment can not continue any longer.

Tutor and lobbying the secretary duties include organizing tutor Karelia University of Applied Sciences peer, member services, public information and student implementation of legal protection. We are looking for a collaborative and customer spiritual person who wants to work in the young students’ interests in the organization of the works. Mission provides excellent opportunities and the ability to continually develop themselves and to act independently in different situations. Applicants are required to good oral and written Finnish and English-language proficiency, as well as a wide range of computer skills. Previous work experience associations and organizations work in the field of higher education and knowledge is considered an asset. The applicant is expected to be at a university level degree. Job management requires co-operation and communication skills, initiative, ability to work within the limits of the time, as well as self-directed organization and prioritization skills. In addition, we expect the applicant to the flexibility and the ability to manage multiple sets of topics, often at the same time.

A working week of 37.5 hours Salaries and conditions of employment in services is defined as employers PALTA and senior salaried employees YTN ry concluded between the universities of applied sciences student unions of employees of the collective agreement. Duties require the ability to work from time to time in the evenings and on weekends mm. trainings on various types of labels, flexible working hours legislation.
