Full-Time Senior Advisor
Culture Point seeking senior advisor / counselor Culture Point is an active and innovative cultural organization working throughout the Nordic region as its platform. Culture Point has three areas of activity. We act as the secretariat for the four Nordic programs:
Culture and Art Programme, Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture, KreaNord and nordbuk. We operate a Nordic cultural center and library in the center of Helsinki, and spread knowledge and interest in the Nordic and Nordic culture. We profile the Nordic cultural co-operation in the Nordic region and internationally. Our activities create both physical and digital spaces for cultural encounters in the entire Nordic region.
Culture Point is an institution under the Nordic Council of Ministers. We are currently seeking a counselor or a senior adviser to the administration of the Nordic Council of Ministers support programs. Employment from April 1, 2014 or soon thereafter. The new employee will primarily participate in the management of assistance programs, work on analyzing the impact of programs and provide information on the results and impact of the subsidy.
Duties will include: Administrative support programs-Being part of the team that is responsible for administering the programs, budgeting and monitoring the accounts of both the big picture and the individual projects-General tasks related to support programs-Counseling of candidates, to organize meetings and act as Secretary of the programs sakkunnigga Analysis Activity-To analyze the results and impact of the programs-Develop programs and statistical reports as part of the Nordic Culture Point Reporting and regular reporting to the Council of Ministers-Participating in the general cultural policy analysis activities in the Nordic Culture Point’s operating range communication operations-To convey information on program support services, results and effects-Designing and attend information meetings around the Nordic-To design and participate in the Nordic Culture Point seminar and conference activities with other colleagues Qualifications-Degree in the field of culture, culture management, analysis, social sciences or communications-At least three years of work experience in cultural management, cultural policy advice, culture, policy analysis and / or communication-Good interpersonal skills-Good knowledge of at least one of the Scandinavian languages and English. Knowledge of Finnish or Icelandic is an advantage. Experience with digital sakbehandlingsprogram, excel or similar is a requirement Culture Point has two offices in Helsinki, Suomenlinna and in the center. The new employee will primarily work on Suomenlinna. The working language of the Nordic Culture Point is the Scandinavian languages. We are able to offer housing at Suomenlinna. Employees who are recruited from another Nordic country than Finland also have the opportunity to get paid for moving costs and an additional salary supplement. Under current rules, Nordic employees of a government agency in the Nordic countries get time off when it receives a Nordic work. We offer a three-year labor contract year under the Nordic Council of Ministers rules.
