Metso’s mining and construction professionals specialize in always bringing the right technology, processes, machinery and services to our customers in the aggregates production, construction, mining and minerals processing.

We are now looking for a Logistics Manager to lead our warehousing and transport operations related to our Spares & Wears European Distribution Center (DCE). As a Logistics Manager, you will be in charge of the daily operations of the warehouses, integrated and subcontracted, as well as the corresponding outbound and inbound transport operations, including custom clearance and connected services.

Following the strategy and targets defined by the Distribution Supply Chain (DSC) management, you will define, negotiate and implement all DCE logistic service contracts together with the DSC Global Managers. You will follow up the operations to reach the expected service level, quality and cost. Furthermore, you will define and implement standard operations procedures in different locations. You will support your team consisting of 11 direct reports, and 3PL in trouble shooting.

The service budget definition and follow-up is part of your duties. As a Manager, you will pay a particular attention to your team members, defining roles and trainings, driving them to excellence.


We expect you to have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in logistics or in a related field. At least 5 years’ experience in distribution management within a 4PL or 3PL environment is required. In addition to the strong understanding of Supply Chain Management, you have experience in purchasing transports and related services.

You should have knowledge of couriers and road transportation, air freight, customs clearance and warehousing processes. Furthermore, you are familiar with IT tools and ERP (preferably SAP).

To be successful in this position, you should be able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-language environment. Understanding of European cultures is extremely important.

You can communicate fluently in English (written and spoken) and in Finnish. You have a readiness to travel up to 30% of the working time. A previous foreign assignment is an advantage.
