The rents of non-subsidised rental dwellings went up by an average of 1.2 per cent in the whole country. In the Greater Helsinki Area the rents of non-subsidised rental dwellings went up by 2.1 per cent and in the rest of Finland by 0.8 per cent. The rents of government subsidised dwellings rose by 2.5 per cent in the whole country.Compared to the previous quarter, the rents of non-subsidised dwellings decreased by an average of 1.5 per cent. Instead, the rents of government subsidised dwellings rose by 0.6 per cent.

According to Statistics Finlands preliminary data, prices of dwellings in old blocks of flats and terraced houses went up by 1.8 per cent in the whole country compared with the previous quarter. In Greater Helsinki, prices rose by 2.0 per cent and in the rest of the country by 1.5 per cent. Compared with the corresponding period of the year before, prices went up by 10.0 per cent in the whole country. In Greater Helsinki the growth amounted to 13.6 per cent and in the rest of the country to 7.0 per cent.
