Job Description:
Rovio Mobile is a game publisher and developer located in Espoo, Finland. With over 50 million users of the Company’s Angry Birds game, Rovio is growing rapidly and is extending the business to cover other areas in the entertainment industry. Currently Rovio employs altogether 50 professionals.
Due to the rapid growth of its business, Rovio is seeking an experienced and business minded Chief Legal Officer to manage and provide advice for all legal matters related to the Company. Desirable candidate must have excellent communication and collaborative skills, be self-motivated, and be open to new ideas, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Candidate will work directly under the supervision of the CEO of the Company.
Responsibilities include the following:
- licensing of Rovio’s game and other products of the IPR portfolio
- contract negotation with major customers and partners
- business law
- manage outside legal resources when appropriate
- handling ad hoc legal projects as assigned
The ideal candidate should have at least five years experience in the area of IPR management.
The role requires ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, excellent organization, communication, and team collaboration skills. You are ready to learn and adopt new things on a fast-paced dynamic environment. We are looking for a Deal Maker, not a Deal Breaker.
The role requires travelling abroad, especially in the US.
Excellent written and oral skills in English is essential.
