Job Description

Blancco is searching for multiple Software Engineers/Senior Software Engineers to join the company’s development department in Joensuu, Finland. As a (Senior) Software Engineer your tasks will contain different levels of implementation and design, within WebUIs, network communication protocols, database communications, performance optimizations, system data gathering, data conversion and/or Linux drives, depending on your skill set and experience. As a (Senior) Software Engineer you should have experience in the following:

• C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, HTML5, CSS, XML or Scala Web development and database knowhow, is considered as a plus (must for Java developers)
• Unit testing
• Spring and Hibernate, is considered a plus for Java developers
• Linux development or Windows development, low level development is considered a plus
• Designing of complex system architectures, is considered a plus (must for Senior)
• Quality Assurance processes and methodologies, is considered a plus (must for Senior)
• Design patterns, is considered a plus (must for Senior)
• Working in multinational teams
• Individual problem solving

The requirements for this role include:

•  2+ years of experience in software development (5+ for Senior)
• Willingness to commit to a long term career, with no immediate need for relocation
• Ability and willingness for constant learning
• Good social skills
• A good sense of humour
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
